The release date is unknown but we do know that a smaller capacity X will be coming in the next 12 months, the new Model 3 should be out in around 18 months while the Y is likely up to 3 to 4 years away.

Its cabin is less of a secret than its actual exterior design mainly because Tesla proved that they prefer sharing parts, so the Model Y will most definitely offer a nearly identical interior to that of the Model 3 in terms of design, materials and likely storage space as well.

These will offer a completely computer controlled all-wheel drive system and it should provide the Model Y more than 300 horsepower which is enough to get a medium sized crossover up to 60 MPH in around 6 seconds or right Tesla’s target.
